who we are
HISTORY
Go Lloyd was founded in 1994 as the Lloyd District Transportation Management Association (TMA). Traditionally, TMAs are public/private partnerships formed so that employers, developers, building owners, and government entities can work collectively to establish policies, programs, and services to address local transportation issues and foster economic development. TMAs are established within a limited geographic area to address the specific needs of their members.
In 2014, the Lloyd District TMA changed its name to Go Lloyd to reflect an expanded focus on the economic development aspect of its mission.
Go Lloyd is a private 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization.
MISSION
Go Lloyd connects people and places by creating partnerships and transportation solutions to make Lloyd extraordinary.
what we do
Go Lloyd is invested in developing programs that encourage Lloyd commuters and residents to engage in travel options outside of single-occupancy vehicles. Our goal is to make the public more aware of the transportation resources available to them, and reduce traffic in the process.
how we do it
We offer numerous programs and resources to make transportation options accessible and convenient for all in the neighborhood. We collaborate with partners including PBOT, TriMet, Lloyd EcoDistrict, Metro, and the Lloyd Community Association. We engage Lloyd commuters and residents with incentives that support local businesses. We facilitate the annual meeting of the Lloyd Meter Revenue Allocation Committee (MRAC) to recommend infrastructure projects and programs to be funded by meter revenue from the Lloyd Parking District to improve our neighborhood.
