How does a clothing swap work?
All items donated with be in support of our upcoming Clothing Swap on November 23rd. Items will be free, and you can bring additional clothes day of to exchange them for new goods.
What kind of clothing to bring:
Please bring clean, undamaged gently used, or new clothing suitable for middle and high school-aged students or older. This includes tops, bottoms, dresses, outdoor wear, accessories, and shoes of all sizes and genders. All clothes should be free of heavy-smoke smells or pet dandruff.
What items to leave at home:
We are not accepting baby and young children’s clothes or household items.
Things to know about the event:
In addition to the swap, enjoy live music from Friends of Noise, a slide-show on sustainability and the impacts of fast fashion, and learn how to mend and upcycle clothing from The Mending Block.
What should I bring day of?
Grab yourself and a friend or two and enjoy free goods and a good time! Bring items to exchange and a shopping bag to carry your new goods home!
What if I don’t have anything to bring?
That’s okay! Feel free to browse and enjoy the event. Be mindful to take only what you need. If you’d like to help, keep on reading!
How can I help?
Coordinate with our staff to help organize and sort through clothing for the event. Bring snacks to share!
