Monday: Launch Day and Restaurant Outreach
Event Details: We kick off Food Waste Prevention Week by launching a comprehensive resource page featuring practical solutions for managing food waste at every stage. Join us as we reach out to about 25 local restaurants and hotels to promote sustainable food waste practices.

Tuesday: Support for Right To Dream Too
Event Details: Join our social media drive to support the free fridge program at Right To Dream Too, just steps from the Moda Center. A special video will guide you through the process of contributing effectively.
Wednesday: Cooking Workshop with Chef Caspar from Milk Crate Kitchen
Event Details: Join Chef Caspar from Milk Crate Kitchen for a hands-on food prep workshop for apartment dwellers and renters. Learn to prepare easy, low-waste meals that save money, use few ingredients, and reduce prep time for busy nights.

Thursday: Lunch and Learn with Milk Crate Kitchen
Morning Event: Learn all about Milk Crate Kitchen, a chef-driven nonprofit that rescues food and feeds the hungry – all for free! Dive deep into how they got started and ways they build community with nutritious meals that divert waste. This free lunch event is open to all—learn, engage, and support Milk Crate Kitchen’s mission.
Evening Event: Join other Lloyd folks as we participate in a “Chopped”-style volunteer cooking challenge with Milk Crate Kitchen in their Hollywood neighborhood commercial kitchen. An exciting opportunity to help prepare meals while participating in a fun and educational cooking challenge.

Friday: Community Garden Support at BIPOC Village
Event Details: We’re installing a solar digester and planting edible, pollinator-friendly plants at the BIPOC Village community garden. This initiative enhances sustainability and supports community food resources.
